Hunt supporter killed by Gyrocopter

Was it genuine concern, or did the hunt have something to hide?
Maybe karma is real......

I'd quite glad about this, seeing as we get the hunt down here, and I've never a more arrogant set of cunts. Blocking the road, then looking really miffed when you suggest they may want to let traffic past is a favourite. That or riding their horses across both lanes of the road so no one can overtake.
They get the horn, it's the only time I use it.

Anyway, from what I can gather here a gyrocopter has been buzzing the hunt. Good for them, as long they keep 500 feet up it's legal. For this guy to have been hit, he had to be walking around on an active airfield. Now to walk around an active airfield, even if it looks quiet, and think you're safe, requires either huge arrogance or a similar dose of stupidity.

Instant death would probably require him being hit in the head by the rotors. In the case of a gyro that would mean him walking towards, or getting in the way of, a moving aircraft.

Best kept out of the gene pool. Hope the pilot doesn't get too much trouble out of it.

I don't understand this. how can it be murder if this bloke was on an active airfield? If he ran out onto a motorway and a car hit him would it then be murder? Am missing some if the facts or what?
The tv reported that he was hit by the rotor, but the rotor isn't powered on a gyrocopter,is it? Anybody that gets that close to a moving aircraft has to expect something bad to happen.

My personal feeling is that 'the hunt' can all go fuck themselves.
I've been out on my mountain bike across the hills before when they jump out of nowhere into your path, they hurl abuse around and expect you to move over for them.
Hunt supporters and those who 'follow' the hunt are even worse, they'll happily abandon their cars in your way to stop progress and one even pushed me away from his car once when I was trying to get past. (sorry about the scratch down the side of your car by the way)
This guy who dies is a result of the gene pool normalising again; if you had any sense at all you wouldn't go near whirly-round-blades attached to an engine, would you?

Think you've summed up my POV quite nicely there.
My local hunt (especially the support) were more than happy to assault any women who disagreed with them, yet strangely would only attempt to assault 'anti' males unless they were mob-handed (i.e. at least 5 to 1). Possibly because they were all weak-willed cowards.

They also hated anyone monitoring or filming what they were up to, possibly because they had something to hide............which is my thoughts on this incident: hunt didn't want to be seen doing 'wrong' so fabricated a bogus complaint to have the Gyro 'grounded' by the authorities.
When this failed, one of the support took it on himself to go and 'have a word' (i.e. attempt to bully anyone who disagrees with them, typical boorish hunt/support attitude), trouble was he was too fucking dumb to realise that the whirling steel blades on the gyrocopter might have adverse health risks.
Darwinism in action.
Marvellous.

I'm pro hunt, for many reasons, some of it is tradition and some of it is to stand up to the PC bully brigade, and I cant stand Swampy. ( I know he does the tree thing but it is my thought process.) The extremist protesters ( there is a theme running here about extremists) are diabolical in the way that they act. but in the same way the actions of some of the bolshy hunters is wrong too. To kill over it is very wrong.

I have nothing against the idea of the hunt, and some people around here will just hunt a fox with a few dogs and couple of blokes on horses. The whole point being exterminating the pest, when it isn't practical to shoot it.

However, the hunt, and hunt supporters, are all cunts. If bikers behaved like that, bikes would have been banned by now.

Very mixed bag here, I can see it from both sides.

Don't go interfering with peoples hobbies, by flying low with a gyrocopter to piss them off. Just because you are untouchable from the sky. Horses can't cope with cars at the best of times, so what is a gyro going to do to their heads. Just live and let live.

I havent a problem with the hunt personally, but i've been living in the area of upper class flat caps, equestrian pursuits, shooting and hunting for a few years now so you get used to it.

You don't like the idea of the hunt. Deal with it. The "think of the kittens" brigade need to get a hobby and mind their own business.

But then it takes a special kind of idiot to go stomping down a runway where somebody is playing with a thing with spinning rotors. It's obvious to me, having had aviation safety drummed into me over a number of years, but not to everyone perhaps.

Wasteful way to go over something so trivial.
