My heating clock appears to be non functional , its the type as pictured. I only generally use it for hot water and generally don't use the heating much as I'm generally elsewhere during the day and heat a single room when I'm in the house.

What happened is that a powercut occured and now the clock no longer goes round and round , hence I have to manually click up the HW tab to ALL day wait around for half an hour for the water to get hot then shower then turn it off.

Any idea as to how to reset it and make the clock go round and round?.

The button at the bottom labelled advance appears to not make the clock go round either but turns it onto the next sector ie on , and then off. That said I've not waited for hours to see if it does go round after the advance tab is pressed.

I just want to get the clock turning round and thus get hot water once I get into the house after doing my stuff all day and not have to wait.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried turning it off and on again. Twist the wheel, press all the buttons a for a bit. Just fiddle around with it. You can always reset it.

if one of those stops working it means get a new digital one!

tried taking the front of and checking the wiring behind...

you could prob get one cheaper than 50 quid, but make sure its the right one to match your boiler.

im guessing you prob have an ancient boiler too....

www.screwfix.com and get yourself a new programmer, they start at around £25.

The wiring will be the same so just take the old one off and remember which wires go to where, after your live neutral and earth you only have a max of 3 switched lives anyway so it wont be too hard. 15 minute job. Just remember to isolate the power supply first Wink
