got a phone on sale on ebay.. someone has asked if i will ship it to the yukraine!!! what stipulations should i make... they pay for shipping and phone by paypal, and when funds cleared they will be shipped... bit new to it tbh,

Just be carefull with shipping abroad.
I had a Mini DV camcorder on Ebay couple of years ago.
I said the same thing once all funds have cleared I will send the camcorder.
Well the funds cleared - couple of weeks later I had a charge back of £200 because the card was stolen/fraud

My response would be 'I'm selling to UK customers only - as stated in the auction' Is what I do whenever im selling a mobile.

Look at completed listings on ebay last night, any phone worth more than £200 went for £1k-2k from some cretins having a grin.

Iphones most affected, most won for 2k, Sony Ericcson c902/5 were hundreds.


Plenty of comedians on ebay, if it's Ebay they will suck the bumhole of the buyer all day long, if it's PayPal, they ARE ebay.

Wouldn't Carphone Warehouse get them cheaper from Apple than the eBay sellers do due to sheer volume of sale?

Apple make money whoever buys it, as they make it.

Im not saying they buy them from ebay to sell, im saying they bump up the price so the public can't buy them from ebay, so go direct to apple/carphone. The listings no doubt go non paid for.

If nokia bid up all the listing, then dont bother to pay (im sure they can get plenty of ebay usernames), the public will go to a store for the phone, and then nokia will make money from the sale.

I buy a phone off nokia = Nokia get money
I sell phone on ebay = Nokia get nothing
I can't sell phone on ebay due to high bids, prospective buyer goes to a store to buy said phone = Nokia get money

i may be totally wrong, but why would general public bid up the listings to over 1k per phone when they have nothing to gain.

First of all its "naive"

Second of all, if it has gone into your paypal account then go for it. Worst that can happen is you lose the money, not too major.

Check what he has bought, have they been 1p ebooks or actual items?

You have to withdraw it to a bank account.

Click withdraw funds/money on paypal.
fill in card details,

They will charge 25p i think? maybe 30p unless your withdrawing over 50 pounds.

Usually takes around 4 working days to appear in your bank account.
