Re: Honda CG125‏
From: Honda CG125 (hondacg125bike@googlemail.com)
Sent: 14 March 2009 11:40:59
To: stuart morrissey aka madrider1961 (madrider1961@hotmail.co.uk)

That's a very closely guarded secret, if my name or where in the county I live was disclosed it could be very bad for me.

Look at my website, look what it says about dealers and how to service the bike yourself.
Can you imagine how angry the Honda dealers are? Especially during the credit crunch and they want all the money they can get from servicing.
And even the independents will be pretty annoyed.

I still have to get my MOTs from these people and I still need them if a fault develops inside the engine,
as well as being able to order parts from them.

All I have to do is tell one person who I am, then they tell a friend who then accidentally mentions it to a motorcycle shop in conversation.
Then everyone in the motorcycle trade will know who I am.

My website is having a massive effect, I can see how many people visit my website.
Its not a small amount of people per day, its a large number day after day after day.
I can even see that a large number are visiting my servicing webpage and how long on average they read it for.
The number is so large for visitors from the UK that the motorcycle dealers must have seen a very large drop in Honda CG125 coming in to be serviced.

Looking at your website I can see you are involved with Honda UK and the dealers so you can see why I will not disclose my name or location to you.
I dare not even disclose my telephone number since its incredibly easy to find out from the first 5 numbers what area of the UK I am in.

I understand if you do not want to talk over the phone as a result, but I do have a lot of information you will probably find of use to your motorcycling.
Emails can not explain everything like a telephone call.
If you have a really good look at my website I think you will find some things even you have missed over all your miles and years of riding.
You also have the opportunity to help other Honda CG125 owners by telling me your experiences with the bike and letting me put them on my website.

If you want to guess how many UK Honda CG125 owners find my website, its simple.
At least 90% of all people using the internet use google.
Guess how many Honda CG125 owners are 17 to 25, then guess how many of them use the internet and are likely to type in Honda CG125.
The answer is nearly all of them.
Then ask yourself how many of them will actually read my website and find it of use, answer is nearly all of them especially if they are learners and its their first bike.

If you still do not want to talk over the phone,
but do not mind email I can try to communicate via email but we will never be able to communicate properly this way,
especially with the amount of information and complexity of it we have to share.

The guaranteed way to confirm I am the person behind the Honda CG125 website is simple.

First go to google = www.google.co.uk

Then type in Honda CG125
Do not select the option of pages from the UK (my website deliberately is not classed as in the UK since I need people all around the world to find it).

You will see my website https://hondacg125.awardspace.com/ appears pretty high up the list.

Go on to my website and on the homepage you will see a link near the bottom left of the screen called email

Click on it and follow the instructions on how to type my email address.

In the following email address replace the word yamaha with honda

yamahacg125bike@googlemail.com

I would simply tell him, either give me the info i require of get lost....

In fact as usa is not covered by the DPA and knowing just how helpfull they can be contact Awardspace and i would not be surprised if they would not give out his personal details to you Wink
Oh look they even got a UK number.... 020 8 1234 790

So how he thinks that someone like Honda would not get the details is a joke.
Why is he so scared of the info on the site ?? Seems to be nothing that any manufacture would be worried about...

Hmm, I wonder if he's aware of a company called 'Haynes' Confused.

Why would you want any kind interaction with someone seemingly so far removed from reality? Confused

I agree. I'd remove the content of that email too Stuart or at least take out your personal details or you'll get bombarded with spam for the rest of your days.

Ooooooh, I used to own a CG125 and I distinctly remember changing the air filter. Should I move and change my identity before Honda UK track me down and snuff me out? Shocked

Oh. My. God.

I just realised I talked about actually stripping a Honda 125 engine, which I did recently!

Even the 'Webmaster' wouldn't go that far!

So... Err, does anyone know how to get out of the country undected? Steal a rowing boat and head for Iceland, wearing a burka?

I was going to say it is Spoon. He was very memorable even though he decided not to stay here long.

It's not a scam, Spoon is just a little paranoid. The reason he started his site is because he could never find what he was looking for in the Haynes.

Was this in relation to your CBF endurance ride?
