Just now, we caught 3 in the trap.
We went to dump them into a bin (before getting rid of them tommorow morning) this bin is deep and no way can they get out out.
How ever one bit me and hung on - twice - one left hand one right hand.
She looks very pregnant hence why I think she bit hard.
Drew blood.
Im worried - what now ?
We caught 3 - Drs? I had to pull her from my skin twice on both hands
I dont wanna hurt them but have two teeth marks on each hand (finger)
I had my tetnus many years ago :S

Put them in a bag, drop a paving slab on it. Then clean and disinfect the bites and ring the doctors tomorrow to see if they recommend anything further.

Anyways if in doubt, see your GP, especially if the wound swells up or anything nasty comes out of it (puss etc).

Rabies isn't that common over here (are the mice showing any symptoms??), so I think infection is your most likely only worry. Wash it down with soap and water, then TCP it and wrap it up.

If you end up feverish or the area starts to look mankey, then get yourself to the quacks!!

p.s. I can't believe you decided to hold some up by the scruff and get them posing for a pic rather than just get them straight in the bin (and perhaps photo there) ... now that is internet dedication for you!!!

Aye leptospyrosis is a bastard have to be very careful at work with riverwater and cuts, it's rat piss that carries the bug, you start out with flu like symptoms and you die if you don't get treated.

I would go to the docs just in case,as said they can carry Weils disease like rats.The one i caught was covered in piss in the trap which is a way the infection can be transmitted.

If you weant to do it very humanely, empty them into a bin bag and hold it over the end of your bike exhaust with it running on choke.

Bag fills with carbon monoxide, mouse goes to sleep. Permanantly.

This does not work on bikes with a catalytic converter.

That or hit it with a coal shovel.

Don't laugh off the bites, like others have said, they can kill.

At the very least you need a tetanus booster and maybe others besides. Sod the doctors, go to casualty.

Those diseases they can give you are nasty. If left untreated they can either kill, or leave you with long term damage to various internal organs. Seen it first hand, thats why I'm so concerned.

As said go straight to casualty just to be safe i shoot these thing for people and if i got bit thats what i would do. It could have Weil's disease which you really dont want.

If your not comfortable with drowning them.

Get a piece of pipe off the exhaust of your bike fed into a hole in the bin lid they will be gone within a minute or two nice and humane (sort of)
