Looks good, I might have to get up early one day and try pootling around some more minor roads.

Good pics! What I'd give for roads like that, where abouts in the South East is that?

I thought you went out at 11AM because you spent the morning cleaning up the whole week's road muck!?

First half dozen pics reminds me of the days when we used to go on the back lanes of hertfordshire on my XR125 - with smotobob on his KLR650 supermoto! It's really nostalgic... i'd love to get one again if it comes around for cheap enough - those are arguably the best colours i've seen the XR in.

Nah Titz, that was yesterday. Thought I might take a camera out with me today and I had no cleaning to postpone a pootle.

It's Surrey/Sussex Netting - a myriad of tiny roads and lanes across the Mole Valley. Still exploring them - roads like this exist for miles and miles where I live, I tend to ignore them on the larger bikes, which is a shame.

Bit later than 8am today due to a bit of a hangover. I've covered 2k in about 5 weeks on the 125 now and I still haven't got off the thing in a bad mood. I'm thinking of selling the CBR now - it's just not getting used anymore.

I treated the XR to a little service the other day. Nothing major, just routine stuff like adjustments, oil changes, filter checks, etc. So far the bike's costing me about £7.00 for fill ups every 150 miles or so (which hasn't reached reserve by then). Rear tyre's squaring off a little so I put a couple more psi to retain some composure. Other than that, it works like clockwork. Even saw a personal best of 65mph on the clocks today.

Some shots from today - not full off roading yet, but the roads are getting narrower, poorly surfaced and covered in gravel. Riding has also begun to venture into the realms of the odd cheeky shortcut over a field and along "dustier" tracks.

There are loads of roads like that in the Test Valley area, north of Romsey and right the way across to Salisbury and as far north as Andover. They are pretty much deserted all day long because most people use the M3/A43/A303...
