Indeed.

But alas, bikes are meant for riding. I've held off too long, the weather was up for it, so the bike is now taxed and tested.

The sound the thing makes made me cry.

Then I shall look forward to seeing it in the flesh on run out this year.

Judgement day? Utter bollocks my friend, there was NOTHING wrong with such an immaculate bike and under your watch it'll never slip into a sorry state of MOT failure. Judgement day my arse, it was a walk in the park Wink

Very Happy

It was like my A-Level exams again. But I'd done a bit of revision this time round.

Is it common for VFR400's to be difficult to change down gears when the engine isn't fully warmed up? Recently got one, that is it's only 'flaw' so to speak. Maybe it's just my bike...:hmm:

Not usually. Their gearboxes can be a little heavy, but tend to be quite positive, with a reassuring snick into each gear. I tend to blip the throttle on the downchange almost subconsciously these days, not sure whether this may smooth it out somewhat.

The 400s do sometimes get a little 'sticky' when hot and trying to find neutral in town. I find easing out the clutch on the biting point slightly, as if you were to pull away eases this.

It does - it's the only way I can change down gear when it's not fully warmed up. I'll probably change the oil soon to see if that has an effect on it but the previous owner seemed to keep it in tip top condition so it's probably been done already.

Bandwidth exceeded Crying or Very sad

And judgement day?

No wanting to rain on your parade... but MY vfr was Judgement day coming. Or gone. Laughing

Not because it was pretty. But because it was ugly as sin(I think you would die of shock horror) and louder than anything. Known as the apocalyptic vfr too quite a few... Laughing
