Does anyone know if the stanchions from an RXS100 (or any other common bike for that matter) will fit into the sliders of an RD200's forks? They're the same 30mm diameter and I assume they're roughly the same length but I'm not sure about the bottom attachment.

just stick gaitors on the RD200 forks and slap an MOT on it.

The 'bits at the bottom' do vary quite widly - a very 'first' step would be to see if they both use the same or similar bolts. Seems like maybe a bodge too far too me.

Its not, its the same way we used to get longer forks on bikes back in the 70' and 80's when we didnt want to pay out extra cash for longer fork tubes.
Find fork tubes of the same dia as the ones your using but longer (obviously Mr. Green ) and fit them complete with their internals, that way you know they will fit.
Good on you chris for figuring it out for yourself.
Well done Thumbs Up

Tempting, but you saw how much the forks sagged with you sat on the bike so even if it did pass an MOT the handling would be dire. That would kind of defeat the point of having a lightweight chuckable bike.

I suppose the only way to find out whether the RXS stanchions will fit is to try it!
