Noticed today that Poundland have got the camping bits in again. Mini folding stools, water carriers, single mess tins, enamel cups/bowls/plates, foam rollmats, carabiner bungees, multitools etc.

Low quality (obviously!) but might be of use to those who are skint needing odd bits for touring/rallies etc. Thumbs Up

Been using them for months now, soon as they fall apart or I break them due to being heavy handed I throw them away and buy more... Thumbs Up

I did notice some of the plates and cups are exactly the same as the ones Halfrauds sell aswell, at six times the price...

Err Sad Enamel cups n plates
Stick with plastic or go ultralight and just the mess tin (american oval tins are 100% better than uk mess tins)

Got a mess tin from poundland as you can't get much in the way of quality issues with a lump of aluminium and army surplus sell identical ones at about £7.50 Confused I got a 3 leg stool to sit on from another cheapy shop for £2 near me, it's strong and compact, took it with me on my last trip, always good to have a seat, looks like it might hurt if and when it breaks, but held up ok so far.

If you want good mess tins, Czech army stackable ones are the way forward.

The aluminium is good and thick, they take up less space, hold the heat better and act as lids for one another.

Usually cost £3 per set of 3 (big pan, small pan and plate/frying pan/lid).
