It woulda been a bigger birthday present if it was for 17th March but as nori haga said after the phillip island race win "Tomorrow it's my birthday!"

Steering lock was fixed by twiggers of Loughborough ... top guys. Did it for free cos i needed tyres doing. All they did was remove the head bearings and pack it with a washer to raise the yoke. I guess that was the only thing missing.

But it steers rapidly even with roadsmarts. I can see why people say that a thou is too fast for the roads!

Could have picked a sunnier day to take the photo.

Looks like it's about to piss it down.

Err contrare mon frere!

Do you WANT to see the original picture? I took that photo with the sun at about the 11 o clock position relative to that frame! It was a BLOODY bright day so i was actually worried about over exposure but it came out cool! Not bad for a point and shoot. Just shows how good the CCD sensor is on the camera (Fuji F60fd)

Original

The same could be said about my shot of Borobudur when i last went home to visit my folks

https://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2590/10/100/500990711/n500990711_2231520_5434256.jpg

The sky was crystal clear, as you'd expect from being located in the tropics. It looked white and overexposed but HDR came out a treat. Try doing that with a camera with a crappy CCD sensor and you'll just get over exposure

That was taken on my proper old skool Fuji E500!

Well, now that i've got a decent compact cam, i can afford to indulge in the subtleties of having a lot of megapixels to work with, so invariably, there's more detail - you don't have to mask it off by overdoing stuff; i pretty much bought this cam because i wanted a quick, idiot-friendly way of getting good pics.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

That's the stuff permeating from my colon at the moment after i've been on my 2nd bottle of bullmers! I need to get stuff sorted for my pissup-barbeque-saussagefest tonight!

But Borobudur is about 20km from my house in Yogyakarta, Indonesia; that thing's been knocking about for the last few millennia. There's quite a few world heritage sites near where I live.
