Re-mapping bikes???

My best friend is a car tuner and works on remapping the ecu.
I know that my 1999 fazer is the same engine as the r6 but is it just a different map on the r6 of are the internals diffferent?

Has anyone remapped their bike on here? would be interesting to the difference.

My pal has the tools to do it im just wondering if he can put an r6 map on my fazer?

it isnt identical to the R6. its detuned. i doubt it would work

It's the 04 onwards models that share the R6 lump, and even then the differences are more than just mapping.

As MarJay says your bike shares the engine with the Thundercat. You won't get big power out of it.
