Silly question!!!

Right this is a really silly question for the medical people on the forum, but when i had my operation last monday i've basically had middle of my thigh shaved! Now im stumped as to why they'd done this? Is there a valid reason for it, like place a piece of equipment there. Or was it because the person doing the operation knew i was a nurse at the hospital and decided to have a piss about!

I'm afraid you weren't singled out, it's standard for everyone. They shaved your thigh to attach a diathermy plate to use monopolar diathermy.
