My bike wouldnt start and the revs would drop, my electric start was working, but today i had the carb cleaned and now its fixed. It now starts with kick start but not elctric, the red light was coming on and you hear a click that is all. But today i unscrewed the battery, screwed it back in and now there is no red light and no click, maybe i pulled a wire out when i had taken the battery out but i doubt its that. Can someone please tell me what it is? P N H motors think its the starter motor but i dont want to waste £22

If the lights and horn were working before you fooked about with the battery then it must be your CDI starter motor.

If you were hearing a click when you pressed the starter button the chances are it's a duff battery and it needs replacing.

Try going for a ride, then when you are at the end of your ride, trying the electric start.

The horn sounds dead when you press it now, It wont start after a run, it seems like acid maybe leeking from the battery, but unsure. Please get back to me i dont want to waste money on a starter motor or time trying to find problem if its just battery.

Chances are that the battery has gone. Take it out and go to a local bike shop with it and ask them. If it is leaking, i would get rid of it straight away. You might have blown a fuse when you disconnected it, you should check that its ok. Its next to the cdi unit in front of the battery.

Don't let them con you into buying a new starter motor, because it probably will just be the battery.
