haha thankies
i cant wait to start riding again, i only been off of my CD250 (getting picked up by new owner tomorrow) a week but already miss a bit of speed
its gonna take some getting used to the much heavier weight of the bike, especially as i do roughly 20 miles of tight filtering on my journey to uni every day. gonna be fun
can anyone give me a rough idea of the speeds of each gear (bear in mind ill have it at 33bhp)?
the rev counter doesnt work at the moment so want to know roughly what i could go up to.. ____________________ Yamaha RXS 100 > Honda CD 250 > Honda Hornet 600 > Honda CBR 600RR > Yamaha RXS 100 > Kawasaki ZX6R J2 > Yamaha FZ1 |

yeeah its pre-registered..
and yeah the speedo does work - the rev counter doesnt.
so it would be useful to know what speed i can go up to in each gear (because i wont be able to see the revs)
and i will be able to tell to some extreme by the noise of the engine, but i will have no idea what the noise would go up to lol. as its a 600 (im used to a 250!!) i will give it a go and try feeling though, of course ____________________ Yamaha RXS 100 > Honda CD 250 > Honda Hornet 600 > Honda CBR 600RR > Yamaha RXS 100 > Kawasaki ZX6R J2 > Yamaha FZ1 |

You can do 45 in first, 70 in second, etc etc. If it sounds like a formula 1 engine, hang on to the revs a *little* longer, then change up. Hornet Owners Manual Page 2. |

Wont do that in 33bhp like he asked
Wont rev much over 9K at 33bhp, and will top out at about 105mph/110 on a bit of a hill.
Will be a hoot
Will still do 0-60 in about 5ish seconds. Maybe nearer 6. ____________________ "Oh....it looks like Average Joe's is forfeiting the match!" - "Yeah, its a risky strategy but lets see if it pays off for 'em Cotton." |

Blue is the FASTEST colour
and sexiest!
Nice bike mate! get on over to the hornets nest for a stand and info on the rev counter. Check the screw thing in the back of the clocks (or that might be the speedo )
mine does some ungodly speed in 1st! its a mental bike but make sure you use the revs and right up round there - I sometimes go to do an over take not kicking it down then think god this thing is slow. Then when I do it properly I think f**k me how fast.
Strong too, mine took a good battering down the road and still started
