I was planning on asking mummy and daddy for a skydive this year for my 21st in June Laughing

Thought about that one?

if you get a skydive go for an AFF one if you can, you will do 8 hours of ground training but its much more fun than tandem as once you pull the cord your on your tod and its amazing.

Very Happy

There must be shedloads of absolutely amazing things you've not done yet...you're only 21 ffs!!!

Okay, here...let me start you off...

1) Have you been to Tia'nnamen square in Beijing, walked through the Forbidden City and walked on the Great Wall of China in a snow blizzard??

2) Been to Lantau Island, HK and seen the Giant Buddha and eaten dinner with the monks at the bottom?

Okay, a little closer to home...
3) Have you been on a coast to coast ride out in one day?

4) Ridden backwards as a pillion through Cheddar Gorge?

I could go on, but I haven't got a much time to list more...use a little bit of imagination...write yourself a list of 'must do's' then log off your computer, and go and live your life!!! Cool

Thinking Chris, how much would doing the AFF cost and do you not have to do a couple of tandem dives first? How much is the AFF?

what we usualy do.

get a group of mates, get a hotel booked in blackpool/preston/lancs etc and just go out and see what happens, ALWAYS had a cracking night.

We once went paintballing (highly recommended) Go karting etc.
Always things like camping, get a fire going, get a few joints and beers going, always a laugh.

house party?
Rideout?
see a gig of some sort?

stuff like bowling/lazer quest is always a laugh pissed up.
Ive never been into 21st "doo's" or partys, all a bunch of "thank you all for coming" drivvel.

All of the above requires some amount of friends mind Laughing

When I was in college for my 17th I had live bands in my back garden (I did know about 50 college bands!) It cost £60 to hire a kilowatt PA system then a had my mates bring the beer I had a few mates DJ then the bands on.

For my 21st I hired out a pub campsite and invited loads of mates, shame it got cancelled because I was ill. Embarassed

no you dont need to do any other dives first or have any experience of sky diving, personally my first ever jump was an AFF level 1 which i did when i turned 16 i now hold a full parachuting qualification which i got by going down the AFF route, though it is possible to fail a aff jump as you need to show you can put what youve been taught into practice while in the air.

if you are to book a skydive book through the actual place do not go through someone else they will charge you through the roof, cut out the middle man.

you are looking around 300 as a guesstimate for the aff level 1, though it can be cheaper if you also do it and raise money for charity using some of the charity money to actually do the jump.

I had a Tarts & Vicars garden party for my 21st.

Up until that point and there after, I had never and haven't ever had the need of a cassock and I feel my life is the poorer for it.

It was fun.

Thumbs Up
