hi,
just a quick qestion if anyone can help, can you restrict a VFR400 to 33bhp and how much would it cost?

You can restrict any bike to 33bhp itcost me about £110 I think.

My cbr only stayed restricted for five weeks it doesnt do them any harm.

I think for the VFR it costs the best part of £200 including fitting.

I'm not entirely sure how they do it, probably in the carbs though - it won't be in the exhaust.

You have to take it to the garage to get them to give you a dyno read outr or a certificate there easy to take out though.

normally restricts the inlet

one of the bike mags did it to a GSX1100F IIRC - simply stopped the carbslides being able to move past a certain point - meaning the motor stillhad all it's regular bottom end/ small throttle opening response but quickly ran into the restriction as you couldn't open the throttle past 'x' point . . .
