Weedy horn begone!!

Have you ever hammered on the horn in a blaze of fury only for your ire to be accompanied by something that sounds akin to a chipmunk soiling himself?

Well I was, its crazy how even big beefy bikes have the silly little meeeeeeeeeep horns that actually make people laugh. So I went out and got myself one of these.....

Bloody hell, wired it in this afternoon and Im shocked at how loud it is.

Really reccomend it Just be careful with its use, you may kill some poor old granny in town!!

does it have the reverb built in?, I have two horns on mine, sounds big and yep I know what you mean about standard bike horns sound like a scooter that much so its less embarrassing if someone steps out in front of you to shout at them before using your horn

I dont know about the reverb to be honest but it is bloody loud. My neieces scooter is also in my garage and the horn on that and the standard one on the Hayabusa were very comperable.

Was quite chuffed with myself as its the first time Ive ever wired something in from scratch on the bike, job went quite well. Had ot be crafty with the positioning of the horns but was worth it. I orginally bout the original nautilus but it was far too big to go in the bike without seperating the pump etc.

but i have thought about doing the horn upgrade and ive been following your thread over on UK with interest ( and the odd smile )

I understand! It did cross my mind but for the sake of a couple of hours I thought I would go all the way. Some of the lads on the Hayabusa site have wired them in without the relay and say theres no problems, other than a side effect of it being a bit quieter. I didnt want to take the risk.

I even used slightly heavier cabling than was reccomended as that was all I could lay my hands on.

ccording to the maestros over at UKbusas its 'very easy', I think BusanBeemer told me that too.

Looks like theres bloody plugs everywhere, Ive tried to get it off once and ended up shitting out like a big girls blouse.

Maybe a step by step is needed if you manage it Paul!

Just precisely what is required to install one?

I'm not afraid to tinker but I ride a naked bike and any wiring has got to be tidy. Most of it is already stuffed in the headlight casing and there's no more room in there.

Should be a piece of piss to fit on the Truck sparks!! You dont need to play hide and seek under the fairings to get a decent fit!

I keep dragging people into the garage and getting them to press the button to see how they jump!!
