Like Drew said, it would be god to know what you will be using the computer for. Do you realise that there is no operating system included i.e. when you turn the PC on, nothing will happen as there is no windows installed?
AMD arent bad cpu's, its just that Intel are so much better at present. 4GB ram is excessive for the average user and the graphics card included is dog slow. It will likely run most new games but only on the lowest settings.
For £100 more, I would look at something like the PC in the link below. Much better suited for gaming but again, there is no operating system included:
https://www.ebuyer.com/product/159381
If your folks are rich, have a gander at this bad boy:
https://3xs.scan.co.uk/ShowSystem.asp?SystemID=827
EDIT: I just added up all the components over at ebuyer. If you were to build yourself, it would cost £256 so a premium of £40 for the guy to build it for you aint that bad. All in all, its not a bad PC and im sure it would see you through many years to come. Just dont expect to play Crysis at 1080p with max settings! |

Thx for all the replies. Decided not to buy it after my dad called his mate who builds and sells PCs. He said its not to waste money coz theres barely any info there. Fuck knows what kinda rubbish parts they put in there. So ill buy one from him.
Btw ill be using the PC for gaming mostly . Ill post the specs when i get it . |

Legit and registered Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600 Service pack 3 .. installed and ready to go

I actually can't believe what a P.O.S you bought for £250. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it?s worth. |

Ditto. I wanted a nice small shuttle pc for ages, and finally got the SN95G5.
The thing looks gorgeous, and I got the optional carry case to lug it up and down the country.
6 months later, the socket 939 was obsolete.
7 months later, the AGP slot was obsolete.
But I stuck with it for another three years and have just bought a mac mini and I'm putting an SSD drive in it |

Yeah, I know, shocking!
It's defiantly a compromise for expandability - basic gaming only for me. I will of course be dual booting - what kind of techie would I be if I couldn't add another operating system to my knowledge base? It's my main reason for being an early adopter of Vista, I couldn't stand being left out in the cold.
If I had a big wallet, I'd have a netbook, a cheap gaming desktop, the mac, and an xbox 360 for other games. As it is I have the mac and am saving for a 360... then comes the netbook after that.
Hope you like your new pc, LaPeace! |
