I guess it's time to move on. I love this bike - it got me through the test, had many nice days out in the Sun, etc.
I'm not interested in the book price, rather what people are actually likely to pay. I need to know so that I can factor this into the next bike I buy.
year: 2007.
miles about 17,300 (about 14,000 of tghose were the previous owner). Say, 18,000 though by the time I get round to selling her.
Condition: pretty good, although there are various minor scratches, cracks etc that this picture doesn't show. And the engine fins are horrible - with what I guess is salt corrosion. This can be cleaned off, but always seems to come back.
serviced: last july. no MOT needed until 2010.
Problems:
1 Probably could do with a new chain, although this isn't too pressing.
2 Carbs could benefot from a rebalancing, as the bike seems to have lost its engine breaking ability, and also can be a bit irritating to start at times (nothing major: usually she goes within 1-2 minutes, but I find it's beeter to warm her up with the choke)
3 The choke is awkward, and has been since I got her, as when fully opened from cold it usually stalls the bike. you have to find the right point slowly for the chike to be any help.
4 I don't know if the reserve tank works, as I've never run the bike low on juice. however, I suspect it doesn't as turning the petrol on/off seems to do nothing - it's always on.
I'm thinking 600-700 pounds? Is this too low for a 2007 model, what with the "125 premium" that's supposed to exist?
What do you think?

I reckon you'd get more than that. I paid £450 for a 9 year old Kymco.
Personally, I'd start at about 1100 and be prepared to take 900ish. That's based on my looking round when I bought mine at the arse end of last summer.
edit: as for the reserve tank...don't be so sure. I drained my tank the other day so I could remove it and give the bike a good overhaul. Out of interest I tried to run it out of juice. Even with no fuel tank it managed 3 laps round the block before it started spluttering. This is also when I discovered that the tank holds 15 litres, and the 100km I'd been letting it go between fillups was very, very conservative ____________________ Current Bikes: 1983 Honda VF400FD / 2003 Honda VT750 Shadow

1: thought it was fuel injection on them
2: how can you balance a single carb?
i would think you're looking at a bit more than 6-700 for an '07 one ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles.
