havent heard that one. although afeter 2010 when your 2 year CBT runs out you have to either do a full test or wait a year before you can re-do your CBT again. This is to force people to take the new test which on average will cost £750!!! HAHAHAH sucks to be them! |

The practical test will be £80 like it is now. Where you plucked the figure of £750 out, I don't know. £750 if you include the test fee would be about 6 days training with a school, and you think that's an average |

Yeah but MCN are renowned for chatting out of their arse.
The test fee has only gone up by £20 [/quote]
but take into consideration the ammount of attempts people are gonna have at this new test and how much more training it's gonna need. |

What's the source for that wildly statistic?
Also, you will find that Instructors are not even the best riders in the world once they've passed Instruction exams, they are human just like us.
However, the manoeuvres on the new MMA section of the test are not even 'high speed', the highest speed reached is 50kph (30mph or so). Even then, those specific manoeuvres are just avoiding an obstacle and then doing an emergency stop.
The bottom line is, ride properly and ride to pass and you will. ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

Unfortunately two schools don't compromise big enough a sample to draw any conclusions from. I never suggested they talked out of their asses, I just stated it's a wildly statistic.
Also, there is quite a lot of conflicting evidence saying the new test is easier also, from what I have seen and heard the new MMA section will make the test a lot easier for people struggling with 'U turns' etc. It however remains to be seen.
A lot of the instructors won't know the new test back to front. They'll know how to set it up and to spot failures but that's about as far as it goes. No doubt they could pass it themselves yes but they are just as likely to pass as anyone who truely dedicates themselves to passing.
Read the DVLA documentation on the new test, I am right, thanks for noticing.
