I spoke to you about organising a dyno day at D&K but the bloke at services wasn't there when I went round the other day, So all the people that agreed to come to that one i'm now pointing towards your dyno day instead.

I posted on several forums and I got around 50 Yes, so we'll all be turning up to your Dyno day instead. Cheers

whats the odds of actually getting a look in on this dyno gizmo thingy ma bob, as i presume with 50 of your mates plus whoever else turns up the dyno guys gonna be flat out all day. Just did'nt fancy travelling all that way on a maybe is all, how many can he do in a day?

I might pop down, but probably without any 2 wheeled machinery I'm afraid .

Looks like the engine in the 10R could be FUBAR'd due to the crank pickup expoding everywhere. .

I doubt I'll manage to get the cage on the dyno , but I'll ask my mate who's got a 98 R1 to show you all up .

(If I finally get my thumb from up my arse I might have the ZX7R back on the road by then.)

should be a good turnout on the day.
we will be taking bookings from as early as the dyno sets up.
hopefully we will get him to arrive and set up earlier than 10 am.
the last one we had set up at 8.30.

come along pay your money and join the line.plenty of people to natter to while you wait and even go to dk bikes to kick a few tyres..

even better would be to come into our shop and spend some money..

^ Amen to that. £15 sounds like a lot of money to pay just to be disappointed that your bike makes nowhere near the BHP you thought it did.

Probably the Dynojet dyno, which is often used to help calibrate dynos in shops.

Think on their last dyno day the £15 went to a charity.

Big down side is the 25th is one of the days of the Stafford classic bike show.

were having a different dyno company doing it for us this time..
£15 for a power run isnt too much to pay is it??

come along and have a look at others being dyno`d if you dont want to pay the money for yourself.

the £15 will just about cover the costs of us paying for the van itself.
last time we did it last summer it cost me over £700 which i paid out as all the proceeds went to the air ambulance.

one is being organised up newcastle way for £20-25 a go so £15 is cheap to me.

timing is off though as i'm on holiday 2wks later so funds wont allow

At Bemsee meets Dynopro would charge £20-£25 for dyno time, but for that you'd get two or three runs, so you could make some adjustments and see how they worked.

£15 isn't a bad price for if you're going out to get some dyno time, providing you do get a full print out of power to revs and fuel/air (often days like this don't bother.) However it's not really an incentive to wander along to a shop holding a day, unless you were planning to do it on that day anyway.
Why would I want to see other people having their bikes dyno'd? Yes, it makes a loud noise, but the only very slight entertainment to be had is from watching people that haven't done it before cringing as they hear their bike red-lined while stationary.

for the donations to the air-amublance last year. I don't know how much other advertising you do costs, but £700 to get a load of customers through the door and (if done right) significantly raise brand/shop awareness doesn't seem too bad a price.
Were it me, I think I'd be offering the dyno run for very cheap or maybe non-compulsory charity donations (useful for further marketing in local papers, etc.)
If you're covering your basic costs with people paying and get a load of people through the door, it sounds like a good thing for your business, at least. Bit like sports-team shirts, where people pay for the privelege of advertising 'Asda' on their shoulders - only brought up, because I saw this example recently and realised quite how 'good' a business model that is .

Midlands would seem to make the most sense (presuming the midlands mod is happy with it), as I can't see people from anywhere else going to it.
If it really were a decent event that people from all-over were likely to attend, Outings and Excursions.
