A cheapish one has come up for sale not too far from me and I thought I'd ask what they are like.

It's a 1990 with 50k on the clocks and comes with luggage and a touring screen. As I am looking for a cheapish tourer at the mo it caught my eye.

Has anyone owned one? Are they any good?

Comes with a steering damper the size of a bicycle pump. Laughing

EDIT, my bad, I thought you said GSXR. Wouldn't have thought it would make an ideal tourer with the lack of fairing.

Hi

Take it you mean a GSX1100F, the one with the electric window? Pretty much lost to the FJ1200 in every road test that put them together. Decent enough bike though and the engine is basically a GSXR11 engine.

If you mean the older air cooled GSX1100 then they are pretty much unrelated (might have still been the odd old stock one being punted out in 1990).

All the best

Keith

Yea, think they refer to it as the PowerScreen model. This particular one has 'Katana' emblazened across the side in dodgy Halfords-esque graphics. To be honest I think I'm scraping the barrel with this particular make/model combo. It looks like a bag of shite, methinks I'm doing a good job of talking myself out of it.
