Hi,

Noticed those Dunojet kits - Any good? What difference would they make? I take it this would be a garage job?

Cheers

Mark

Not really worth it on an ER-5.

If you were running a 600cc plus sports bike, you'd done the K&N filter and race can/system, and it was still lacking a bit, a dynojet kit would give you that extra little bit.

But on a 500cc commuter twin, its better to save your 80 quid.

Hi

A dynojet kit is just a set of replacement jets, needle jets, slide springs, etc, chosen for an expected level of tuning. On a standard bike they are not going to give you anything (unless the maker really screwed up in the first place).

All the best

Was hoping to combine the Dynojet kit with a K&N air filter and complete Remus system.

Would it make a difference then Keith?

Hi

The bit that will make the difference is the exhaust, with a touch from the filter. The dynojet kit might be needed to get the best from the pipe.

Personally if you are going to do this then you would probably get far more effect from sticking the bike up to the level of tune used in the GPZ500 (not sure what they changed, but think they claimed about 10hp more for the GPZ over the ER).

All the best

Keith
