External disk drives

I have a netbook and a down side to it and them in general is not having a disk drive. I have loads of music and things i want to put on my machine and its just a usable thing, for software. dvd's etc.

Does anybody know anywhere i can get a resonable disk drive from ( not to expensive as i want to be as stingy as possable) but good enough quality ?

I have found a nice looking seems to be quuality for 40 pounds.

Any cheaper ones out there. Or anybody selling one ?

£31 reserved online, when I collected it it's £40 on the shelf

I think he is referring to an external CD/DVD drive, opposed to an external HDD.

Me and my dad both have netbooks (well, i sold mine to my stepmum) and my dad got an LG slimline one from PC world, it was around £55 but does the job perfectly. You can get them a fair bit cheaper but they can be bulky at times.

Just done a quick trawl via google and the external DVD +/- DVD writers ballpark figure is around £50.

So if you've found one @ £40 sounds a reasonable buy.

Alternative is if you have one in an old laptop that's not in use take it out and get a USB powered case from the likes of eBay (that's what I ended up doing with a broken laptop, but DVD drive was ok).
