I have recently joined this forum.
I have used bikes since 1981 in the shape of an MZ125 till 1984, then another MZ125 till 1988 when I bought a " D " regd Yamaha T80.
This was used till March 1992, when at last I could afford me own car.
As I work as a guard on the railway I needed solid bike which would get me the 6 miles to the Depot at all times, weathers and days.
As I am a lazy sod, I have a paper licence issued to me in July 1977, which acts a a provisional for a bike of 125CC and below so I have not bothered to swot for a full bike licence.
7 years ago I bought a 51plate Honda CG!25, which I used as and when the weather was right. I used this bike on and off for rides in the local country side.
Then in 2004 I got a really bad back, so I put the CG in the grarge, where it stayed till last Friday.
I go it tested, and it had done 600 miles in the last 3 years, did me CBT and taxed and insured, so thats where I am at this time.
As am nearing 60, I limit my exposure to cold, rain and snow so I am a fair weather rider.
My wife made me chop up my Yamaha T80, after it stood 10 years in the back garden.
Out of the bikes I have had the T80 was like riding a Rolls Royce after the MZ's.

Hi Trainman, welcome.
Have you thought of getting a Yam SR instead of the CG? It's a more upright/relaxed rising position, super comfy I'd choose it out of the two anyday. ____________________ CBR125|||GSXR400|||CBR400|||CBR400|||CB250RS|||GSXR750|||CB250RS

Greetings
T80s do turn up occasionally on eBay (like this for £425); the ones I've seen seem to be low usage ones, too. If you do consider new, have a look at the Honda ANF125i Innova, which replaced the Cub 90. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you.
