File Sharing

Right, I have just set up file sharing on all our computers on our network. Now mine and my dads can share files easily and yet my sisters won't Ive set it all up the same on hers as I did with mine. Passworded sharing is switched off and file sharing is on and network discovery is also on.

Mine is running on MS Windows Vista with COMODO Pro firewall.
My dads is running on MS Windows XP SP3 with windows firewall.
My sisters is running on MS windows Vista with windows firewall.

My computer and also my dads can find all the computers yet hers cant find my dads, but it finds mine but yet it cant access mine properly When any of us try to click on her computer it says error too.

Any suggestions?

Now hers can access my laptop and put files into it. But there still isnt anyway of me accessing hers. It comes up error - Network path could not be found.

Plus my dads still isnt showing up on hers.

Have you tried going to the shared drives using their network paths?

e.g. \\sistercomputer\shareddrive

I have found that sometimes browsing through Explorer is a bit spazzy.

So it is all shared properly you're just not able to see it?

Have you checked the permissions of the folders or drives you share to ensure you have access?

No it came up that error again.
Now nothings working.

Dad: = Can see both mine and sister but when he clicks on any of them it comes up access denied.

Me: = I can access my dads fine but cant access my sisters at all.

Sister: = She can access some of mine, some folders say access denied and she cant see my dad at all.

It was working fine last night, everything was working and now nothing is.

All permissions are open.

Ive now uninstalled my COMODO Pro firewall and switched on the Windows firewall incase it was that.

Still no change.

Permissions aside, do you all have admin accounts?

Have you tried with no firewalls running?

All PCs are in the same workgroup?

If you browse the Ip can you see the shares:
