I spoke about this before on another thread(bikes new Home).Im looking for a new bike garage,im restricted for space because i built a shed last year and im not knocking it down.
I still have about 20 X 8 which gets a lot of walking traffic,i found the ideal thing https://www.secure-a-bike.com but its way over my pricing limits,but its the ideal size wise.

I was thinking of something like a wooden hut from say b and q one of the narrow one's 6X3 and cut a new door at the front .

has anyone ever done anything like this before.

we have one at work for putting diggin tools in and storing bags of cement. Its taken some right hammer over the past few years and still goin strong. we used to have the wooden type but they couldnt handle much abuse and were usually firewood after a couple of months, these plastic ones just take it in there stride....doors bigger too Wink

Were I making one, I'd go for a lift-up roof, maybe with a side that opened up too. That way it should be pretty easy to get the bike in without fancy gadgets.

Four metal posts and some random bits of wood should do it - and a decent dollop of weather proofing stuff to keep it in ok condition.

2x3, marine ply, floorboards. As G said a folding roof if you don't want it 7 feet tall or whatever. Those gadget sheds are silly money. I had a f*ckin' good belly laugh when the salesmen at the NEC show when he told me the price of them. (Different company but same sh1t).

6x3 shed? My bike only just fits a 8x6. Laughing

Hinges? I'm sure you can get dog kennels with folding roofs. (Rooves? lol) Google dog kennel plans?
