Hmmmmmm, maybe I should've put this in the flame section.

This morning, get up, look out - Tis ure typical scottish morning - grey and raining! Get on the waterproofs and head on out to work.

Thinks to self- must keep an eye on road surface - for all the good that did me - pull onto roundabout, keeping one eye on the car in front and nextthing, back tyre slides out from under me and down I go, head and knee clattering of the tarmac... bugger!

Car behind me, just goes around and keeps going! but the guy behind him (a biker) stopped to help pick up and move VFR to the side.

Turns out there has been a lorry out gushing the damned stuff everywhere in town today! As I called it into police/council to make sure same thing didnt happen to someone else.

Thankfully you are ok though. Something really needs to be done about diesel spills, have you signed up to the anti spills campaign?

The other thing that is really doing my head in at the moment is mud left all over the roads by farmers.

Yeah, I signed up for that a while ago - may do it again a few more times Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

I'm ok, knee is killin and a bit stiff, but nothing damaged - the bike on the other hand is feeling a tad sorry for itself. Right hand side fairing cracked off - god, thats a horrible noise when cars drive over them- Back break pedal is off, the rearset sheared off, mirror gone, and new mini indicators.

But tis a robust wee bike, we'll be back on road by Tuesday *fingers crossed*

horse poo, that annoys me the most, i mean come on they make dog owners clear that up, but people can walk around it, when your riding a bike at 60mph you end up going straight though it messing your bike making you smell and when its on corners is slippy as anything!

My new chrome 'bling' KBC had a nice big chunk outa the side where it connected with the tarmac Confused Bugger, nevermind, at the end of the day, thats its job! even if only had ita week and a half! I obviously wasn't destined to have it!

£50 for new rear set - which is ordered and on the way.
£10 for new mirror

Have spare fairings, but they arent the best but will do for the mo.

Thanks for the posts guys... was feelin a little blue, but better now Very Happy

Never nice coming off a bike is it? Confused I remember having a mix of being angry, annoyed, gutted and embarrassed. But after your bikes all fixed you soon forget about it Very Happy
