Hi
With spare parts it depends largely on what you are looking for. Bodywork dries up first due to the number of people bodging up their bikes having lobbed them at the scenery (especially once they are cheap bikes and people won't pay new prices). Engines for any bike with a pretty tough engine stay around for ages. For example there are 3 complete FZ750 engines on Ebay now but only 2 original fairing panels, plus a fibreglass one, plus a set of the nasty looking optional Harris side fairings.
All the best

MarJay...are the RD350 LC cooled bikes worth much?
There is a 1978 RD350 (think that year is correct one..) for sale near me I as offered it to buy as I mentioned two stroke bikes etc.
In good condition just had £2000 spent on it recently and fairly low mileage!
what do you reckon it would be worth?
Sorry to hijack the thread......
Thanks!

Hi
Don't think the air cooled 250s are worth as much as the liquid cooled ones yet (although the 400s are probably worth more). The RD250LC has a bit of a reputation as the bike that killed off the UKs 250cc learner law.
You might be best asking at one of the forums that specialise in the older air cooled bike:-
https://www.aircooled-rd.com/
I do know someone who was given an old air cooled RD200 a couple of years ago, and has done nothing with it.
All the best
Keith (who still kicks himself at not buying a RD250LC he was offered for about £250 in 1988). ____________________ Traxpics, track day and racing photographs - Bimota Forum - Bike performance / thrust graphs for choosing gearing |
