Hey hey, basically my bike is due a service and i'm doing it myself. I managed to change the oil, oil filter and air filter with absolutely no bother...until i got to the spark plugs!

I followed the manual and it lies! Apparently i'm meant to unscrew the radiator, did that and the problem getting to them was just as bad!

This is my first time servicing so sorry if the answer is blindingly obvious!

Anyone know how to get to the plugs? As i need them changed asap!

They are all quite easy to get to apart from number 3.

You'll need a seriously flexible plug spanner to get it and may have to take the coils off.

Radiator? WTF?!

No way, just remove the tank, move some tubes, and the ht leads. Use a wrench. Never ever had any problems. Confused

3rd one is harder to get out but not too hard tbh. Confused

Haynes manual says a similar thing for the cbr, that you can either take the tank and airbox off to get down into the engine, or displace the radiator.

They make it sound so easy, but fuck that, it's quicker to just whip the tank off!

Oh right good stuff, thanks a lot for all your help!!!

I'll definately look into purchasing a Haynes Manual too for future maintenance.
