Final Call for help: Before I go insaine.

Right I am still having problems with my headlights.

I have replaced the headlight wiring loom, and the main switch gear.

However, when I push the main beam switch the normal light goes off and the main beam goes doesn't come on.

I have attached a picture of the wiring diagram and was wondering if anyone (Keith) could give me a suggestion before I bridge the switch gear connection to auto put the pass button in when I switch it over.

Does the passing light actually work?

If not then my first guess would be the headlight relay (about 2" to the left of the headlights on the diagram you put up I think).

If it does work then it is probably the switch for main beam. As such probably just needs cleaning up.

The pass light does work! I have replaced the mainswitch gear and the headlight wiring loom as well.

Hi

Only thing you can really do is get out a multimeter and check for current at each connector in the system. Looking at that diagram it looks like the passing light doesn't go through the relay, so double check that. Also be careful about using the passing light as it will be drawing the full power for the bulbs (10 amps or so) through the switch and it might not appretiate that for any length of time.
