It's 8.50am, just spent the last 20 minutes clearing 2,200 (yes, 2,200 junk emails) from my work In-Box.

Can anyone beat that?

I get thousands a day to my work account. Comes from having too many 'webmaster@' addresses pointing at it.

Spam filters on exchange take care of the first phase, local filters take out the next phase so I don't get too many actually ending in my inbox... maybe a couple of hundred on a Monday morning.

Er, no....what caused this phenomena was that I subscribe to a group for people with Aspergers. The Moderator is not around and somehow every message sent within the group generates over 100 emails from Expedia. The other 500 or so were general spam. My work email is posted on loads of recruitment related websites, plus I buy almost everything online. So the email bots have grabbed me! I reckon I get 70-80 spam mails a day & use Eliminate Spam to filter it out.

yup! I get my school spammed about 50 a day. After summer hols I get around 5,000-15,000 lots of spam. The worst part is trying to separate spam from friends!

work in IT, get spammed to hell Smile Could do with closing one of my email accounts as it's 95% spam but can't really do that due to the 5%, Norton dumps most of it in the spamfolder but I always go through it anyway, albeit quickly, just in case, as the filter software is not perfect

i used to get about 50 a day..pretty high considering i don't register for porn or anything..honest

configuring my message rules in outlook express has worked a treat.

Don't get any no more. One extra dash inbetween a blue word that'll be the end of that.

worst ones are the damaging ones like the e-bay "verify your identity" BEWARE, my mate uses e-bay a lot and got one of these, he assumed it was real as it looks the part, and clicked and followed instructions! BIG MISTAKE! no more e-bay account, lost sales, and loads of headaches!
