Some may remember that a while ago my bike was stolen from my shed but fortunately i got it back (the same day - found in local fields) and since then i have tried to beef up on security.
Last night, before i went to bed i happened to notice the shed door looked a little strange like it had been tampered with, so i went to check and found that the two padlock brackets on the door had been snapped and my padlocks were lying on the floor. The only thing that had stopped them from gaining entry was (i assume) one of two things; a) they were disturbed, as it was only quarter to one when i found out and i'd only put the bike away about half seven or b) the 'key-lock' had served its purpose.
There is also no 'door handle' as i don't like the thought of it being used as leverage so i use a removable one. Either way, i want to make my garage as secure as i possibly can, whilst i also appreciate that the most determined thief won't be too deterred.
So today i found out two old metal strips, which i have now used as one on the door and one on the frame, so that when the door is shut i can use a padlock in the drilled holes. Here is what i mean,

The same goes for the middle and bottom of the door. Basically, i just want to know if this is effective enough? What else can i do?
Inside of the shed is a movement sensitive alarm, only a cheap one but it does the job and is hidden from view. Also the bikes are locked together and im going to be making a DIY ground anchor over the next few days but tbh i dont really want the c*nts to get that far.
Advice appreciated as ever ____________________ 1980 Suzuki TS50 ~ 1984 Honda CB400N ~ 1992 Triumph Trident ~ 1998 Suzuki Bandit 1200 |

Good point, but tbh i couldnt really afford a real decent alarm system and i cant see the dummy box being much good. I can just see them smashing it off if they were to try again. Must be worth a try though, every little helps

Yeah, i would rather prevent the theft than have the theft recorded on tape if i could, but i know what you mean and its something i am looking into Its got to be the local scumbags, who? I dont know, as i dont associate with any of the low-life wan*ers but i intend to find out.
What would you do if you knew who it was or who it might be?? ____________________ 1980 Suzuki TS50 ~ 1984 Honda CB400N ~ 1992 Triumph Trident ~ 1998 Suzuki Bandit 1200 |

This sounds a bit like what was happening to a one of my mates a whil back, what we did was about 6 of us left the dor open for a few nights so they could walk past and hink you were getting complacent and but all the while your hidden around the site with paintball gun, worked a treat on the little w@nkers, and their low life mates aswel, as we worked out they were 1 group of cvnts split into about 4 so each was taking it's turn. The beutiful thing about this plan was that the shed was down an alley that opened up into a court yard so when they came in we blocked of the exit and just laid in to them, covering them with paint and bruise's, and if they escaped we could have found them easy enough, as they were all limping and covered in paint lol.
Other than that, I would say get 2 of those garage door things that prevent the door been opened,

one at the top and one at the bottom, also reinforcing the doors with extra bracing would be a good idea, so they can't smash their way through.
I'd go for the top one, because atleast you could catch them, if you choose not to shot them, ____________________ amnesia - Never in the history of usernames has one been more accurate. Warped indeed. You sir are a fecking oddball. |
