Of every forum and anything else that requires a login, the cookies are clearly being wiped every time I close IE, been happening for no apparent reason for the last month or so and it's really annoying now.

I'll say it first before anyone else, Firefox.

I only started using it a few weeks ago and it remembers all my usernaes and passwords that IE stopped doing a long time ago.

I've got Firefox already but I don't like it, still just want to know why IE has started doing this for no apparent reason, just wondered if there was some wormy virus thing that might be causing it as a friend is having the same thing happening recently.

My computer is very rapidly dying, its nearly 2yrs since the last reformat and I think I may just throw it out and buy a new one finally, can't be bothered doing it all again plus it's ancient.

Oh and since upgrading to the new AVG 8 it's ground to a halt, everything takes forever, 7 worked fine.

Check your time and date carefully as that's the number one culprit with cookie issues.

It's probably worth completely clearing out your IE cache too, old installs with huge amounts of old junk in the cache can cause IE to go a bit barmy.

Have a flick through IE addons that are loading up too, get rid of pointless toolbars and update any that you particularly need.

Might be worth giving Google Chrome a try if you find Firefox's bloat off putting.
