Went down to watch at lunch time and ended up doing the afternoon sessions Laughing Smile
The first session I did was red flagged, but me an another guy somehow managed to miss a couple of flags and had to do a lap of shame as we had just passed the pit entrance Embarassed
The marshalls gave us a bit of a bollocking before letting us back out.
Two massive flags seem pretty hard to miss but I was just relearning the track and concentrating on my braking points (well that was my excuse anyway)

Any constructive or non constructive criticism? Smile

It was only my second trackday and all the photo's were taken in my first session, although I'm not sure at what point, its definitely the exit of a corner though as I hover two fingers over the brake up until the apex.

Yeah,

You have the same problem as me in that you don't shift your torso over enough when you hang off which means your knee doesn't go anywhere near the floor.

Also, with regard to the pics remember to take a dark visor with you next time... That sounds a bit rude but the pics do look way better with a dark visor on.

For example:

I know what you mean about shifting my torso over, I've tried the whole looking down by the mirrors thing, I have quite short arms and legs and it just feels such an exaggerated awkward position. But I will give it a bit more of a go.
As I'd only done one other trackday the advice I got beforehand was just to concentrate on my lines and brake/throttle control and the rest should come in time, so I just kinda used the same leaning off style that I use on the road.

I see what you mean about the clear visor, a tinted one gives an almost robot type look which is pretty cool, but I think the blue jacket and tatty leathers spoil the pictures a bit anyway.
Just wanted some photo's of me riding as the only hi-res ones I have are of me just sitting on the bike.
Not sure I'd buy anymore though unless it was of a really cool one of me doing a massive great power slide or a Lorenzo style highside Laughing

You're at least 5 mph faster at the apex just because of the black visor Mayjay. Smile

Barriers that close on a RH turn at Snett ... it can only really be the Esses at the end of the back straight?? ...

As for 'how are you looking' ... Looking pretty good I reckon!! Thumbs Up If that is an FZR400 you are obviously not the tallest/fattest man in the world, so getting your kneedown is going to take a bit more speed and lean than most! Wink

I prefer the torso further to the right, head essentially looking at the mirror, but your style is shared with quite a few of the pro-racers, so its equally as good! if you feel comfortable like that and not simply trying/wanting to exaggerate your style purely to get ya kneedown, I think that body and foot* position will serve you well as the speed builds!! Thumbs Up

*That foot position is A1 dude!! Thumbs Up

Cheers Thumbs Up
Yep its an FZR400, I'm a short ass so manage to make it look a lot bigger then it really is Smile
I was a bit confused about how much further to lean, as on the front tyre I've worn almost to the edge (1mm chicken strip) but on the rear I've still got about 10mm left of unused tyre Confused I wasn't sure if this was down to my technique or just the profile of the tyres (Dunlop D208's the sports touring one, not the RR)

How fecked are they?

You might want to consider a 70 section front if you plan to do lots of trackdays ...

it gives the bike that bit more 'front' when on its side!! Thumbs Up
