I have a yamaha tzr 50 and when i take it up to 9000 rpm it holds back and slows down and speeds up a couple mph. When this happened again I put the choke no and it pulled right up to 11000rpm no problem. Sometimes I can just sit at 45 and it suddenly cuts out.

Any ideas?

already cleaned the carbs and changed the coil and plug. I also put a colour tune in and when it cut out it was still sparking.

The choke made me think that there was not enough fuel or too much air getting ino the engine. The carbs were fine aswell as the air filter. I checked for air leaks on the manifold but it is perfect.

This has been happening for months and I dont know how to fix it.

is it a foam air filter element? tried cleaning it?
all the hoses ok? not kinked or split?
manifold split? try spraying some easy start around the manifold when its idling.
could be all sorts of things lol.
choke cable/mechainism sticky?
even jetting, try putting a bigger main jet in?
sorry, cant be of any more help.
cheers,
GHAZ

It is a foam filter and it is clean.
All hoses are fine.
Already checked manifold and its good
The choke is fine
I have raised the needle on the carb as high as it goes so more petrol is in mixture.
Their must be too much air getting into engine as I cannot increase petrol mixture any more and the bike used to go perfect. It just happened
