hi newbie here!
firstly hello to everyone.
I have just bought my second bike (bandit 600 97' (R)) but i am still on a restricted licence. I cant bring myself to pay £250 to restrict it with fi so i intend to make/source my own.
Could anyone tell me the measurements?
OR possibly, my other bike is a gsx600f 95', which i know is based on the same block as a bandit, would these fit!?
Any help & measurements much appreciated

im sorry to say that if you check back on previous posts ..there was a question raised about providing a restriction certificate to the insurance company,i think youll find a restriction kit will only cost about 100 quid,the rest of the cost being paid to the garage to authenticate the certificate...sorry that may sound long winded,but i hope itll save you cash in the long run(higher insurance premiums and fines??)  |

i was thinking about this recently and could you make something like so this excuse the dodgy drawing and i know it would look shit but would you be allowed to do it. Effectively a throttle stop
basically the blue bar is stopped by the black thus  limiting the amount you can turn the throttle. |

Not correct, you do legally need a restriction certificate, if your insurance company want priff get a dyno run which may cost £30 or something.

Again not correct the GSXF puts out more power than the bandit, if you restrict it using GSXF restrictors it will be lower than 33bhp still legal but slower than a properly restricted bandit.
I have a set of bandit restrictors frm a 2001 bandit. I'm not sure if they are the same as the 97, it is a different model.

thanks for all your replies so far. My insurance company havent asked for proof so far, but you can buy 'replacement' certificates off ebay.....
oh the throttle stop idea, that could probably work but then you wont get the full rev range you do with the restrictors 
i would buy them restrictors off you if any knows if they would fit!?!?

Hi my '97 bandit came with restriction and certificate, which gives the dimensions as:
OUter diameter: 38mm
Inner diameter: 15.5mm
The hole is offset from the centre. Please don't pay for a certificate it's such a con.
