Hey, Ive just had a 70cc kit and a sports exhuaust and new jets fitted to my 03 reg olivier jacque Aerox, not sure what make they are as i got them on the cheap.
Its performance hasn't changed all that much compared to the standard 50, i took the washer off and de-restricted the standard exhaust i was getting 55 (verified by 2 mates cars) and smooth acceleration.
now on flat it has lots of power between 7-15MPH, dead spot from 25 to 38 then power from 40 to around 55 (not verified yet).
im wondering if there's anyway of evening the acceleration out, and hopefully higher top end. I'm thinking of fitting light rollers and harder springs on the clutch.
Ive also heard something can be done to the EUC to increase fuel flow and the CDI restricts revs, but are easy to replace.

any tips anyone has would be greatly appreciated
Nick

aeroxs dont have ecu's stop listening to chavs Wink

cdi restricitions wont cause the problem , the engine wont rev high enough to be anywhere near the restrictor

yeah stiffer clutch springs and setting the rollers up properley will sort the problem out for you , how does the bike sound between 25-38 ? could be a carb problem the needle might need adjusting

what weights and springs would u suggest getting?

it depends on what kit and exhaust is on there

you defentley need to lighten the rollers , minarelli engine like nice light rollers so id be looking under 4.5g defenetley , clutch springs come in packs of 3 differnt sets for a tenner just fit the medium stifness one

okay
so do you reckon 3.5 rollers will do the trick?
and are they a pain to fit because i have a very tight budget Sad

and ive also heard that an uprated drive belt will make a big difference but im skeptical about it Confused

If you have a cylinder kit really you should have an uprated drive belt, it prevents the belt slipping, thus making acceleration better. Get a polini kevlar drive belt, its about 20 pound. And no there easy to fit if you know what your doing.

no point getting a belt unless the old ones worn , belt slip only really happens on high torque engines or with worn belts

its better to spend your money on jets and rollers and set it up properley

I've definitely run it in (about 500 miles) and my acceleration's increased but I've lost 5mph top end Sad

I have had new jets fitted but the mechanic reckons with a little bit more playing and uprating them it could be running better.
Unfortunately its been the mot tax and insurance time so all my moneys gone on that. Oh yeh and on a bloody parking ticket!
I don't get it though it's only one step up from a pedal bike haha.

Anyway I should be getting the new clutch springs and rollers in the next 2/3 weeks Very Happy

By the way as anyone got any idea on fixing breaks because I think mine are starting play up, I'm thinking of bleeding them but I'm not sure.

Updates about the bike.
Ive ordered the parts they're due anyday now Smile
Im also getting the jets sorted soon because i took the exaust off yesterday and it was covered in excess petrol and gunk Evil or Very Mad
but it should be all sorted out soon Smile

ive also got a bit of a stupid questions, a mate of mine replaced the engine on his 125 majesty the other day, twice, as the idiot poured 2 litres of oil in the first replacement engine and oil began pouring from the spark plug hole....
anywho the transmition from it is what im intrested in, im wondering if there is any chance i could swap the gear ratio's about and it would still work without killing my bike..
anyone any ideas? let me know please
