Anyone play for real money on there?
I wanted to do a 10 dollar tourny this weekend but didn't know that I have to go to the bank and authorise my credit card for such activities
Whatever, plenty of tournaments to be played.
I like the idea of being able to win a big sum of money by putting in the equivalent of a drink in a club |

I play for real money on there, try the $20 sit and go tourneys, full of people who can't play lol
It's people with money who don't want to play with the decent players in the cheaper tourneys |

Just came 18th in a tournament with 180 people in it
Cashed me a grand total of 8.64 dollars
I wanted to get a bit further but made a horrible call at the end. I did recover from being 34th out of 35 people though
Better luck next time I guess |

I play on PKR, The min depsit is 10 dollars (with a 1 dollar charge for any amount under 25 dollars).
A good, if boring way to increase your bankroll is to play the Double Thru tournaments (stars may call them Double or nothing),
I play the $20 ones, 10 players, top 5 receive $40, Its not poker per se but a game of survival, fold anything but AA, KK, QQ, AK in the first few levels, establish a tight table image while hopefully one or two action junkies knock themselves out on a coin flip 1010 vs AK or something, then when the blinds are around 100/200 make a few choice steals from position, and then when you get to 7/6 players left as long as you have a fair few more chips than the shortstack you fold you way into the money. If you are focused i reckon an acheiveable win rate is like 75% of the time factoring in bad beats and variance.
The other day i chucked on 25 dollars and turned it into 85 doing those tourneys in the space of a few hours, cashed it out then went to a poker club near the ace cafe for their £30 Triple Chance tournament, i was playing really solidly, it started with about 70 people and by the time there was only 25 left i had about 26k in chips (starting stack was 2k) and then i had a massive brain fart, some guy raised my blinds (when they were 600/1200), he raised to 3000 (he had the same amount of chips as me), i wrongly guessed he was either stealing my blinds, had overcards or nothing, i pushed all in with my 44, he thought about it for a while and called with his JJ, needless to say i dident suck out on him...
One of my worst moves in a long long time playing poker, i still dont understand why i dident call and see a flop, then let it go if the 4 dident come... /shake head, i felt good that day too and first place was about £800 which would have been nice...
