This has been making me wonder all night after a wierd but slightly insightful convosation with a friend, who said that he'd probly just recite the times tables or something.

Me myself I would just sit there thinking of life and life itself with means and such.

Watched a documentary on this not long ago. People don't react well to it. They were in the dark, alone for 48 hours in a cell and it was messing with people heads very early in.

Thats exactly what I thought. Surely after 6months of no human interaction apart from food and going for a dump, you would definately be insane. And making up friends to talk to meaning more time in it.

Aside from frequent masterbation, I'd go with doing press-ups/sit-ups etc to stay reasonable healthy.

Probably try my hand at meditation, since with no distractions and endless time with which to practice I'd eventually hit the zen state and entertain myself through vivid hallucinations and such.

I remember reading a Will Smith interview when he was building his character for "I am Legend" where he spoke to people on death row an shit to try and find out how they cope with being solitary for years on end. All I can remember is them saying how they would structure their days to a strict regimen, such as spending 3 hours cleaning their nails. I think having some order and purpose for a given day was their atttempt to fight off insanity.

I wouldn't be surprised if the vast majority of people came out with some mental issues.

Depends on the situation and the environment.If i had a court case at the end of it i would spend my time visualizing my freedom and reliving my life-learn to visualize so clearly it became as perfect as sight.

If the environment was 100% dark and i had no concerns i would use the time to trip...the constant darkness does wonders for your brain chemistry:
