Cheers for all the replies, you probably get tired of seeing these posts everyday, just cannot belive I even passed my Theory ha.
Not sure about bike, I've gotta sell my current bike:
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320360188351&_trkparms=tab%3DSelling
But yeah after thats gone, I would like a 400, VFR400, but I've heard alot of bad things about them because of their age and I wouldn't be aloud anything more than a 400 at all so I might just get an RS125 because I've wanted one for ages. Very Happy

I suppose.
Dunno I'm lucky that my parents will even let me have a 400 because there proper worried as I'm only 17 and the insurance will be proper high for a bigger bike, yeah I know it'll be restricted but anything above a 400 won't exactly run very smootly unless its a bandit or something, but I don't really like those bikes.

Rolling Eyes

Ive ridden a restricted r6 and Zx 6 they were fine. You should read up more. Plus what makes you think 120 Bhp from a 600?

Because he said he's not interested in bandit/hornet type things but is interested it VFR type things.

Would guess that when hes looking at 600's hes looking at brand new R6's and gixxers etc...

To the OP, the insurance on something like an SV650 would be cheaper than the insurance on one of the old 400's, plus they are renouned(sp?) for taking the restriction well.

I would say get a 33bhp 125 2poke, will be much cheaper to own over the 2 year period.

Its upto you, if you can find one cheap then go for it, but the lack of power on a 125 will soon fustrate you.

On the topic of restriction, true enough some bikes take it better than others, but my gsxr6 runs really well under restriction, and it rockets upto 60 so...you you wont mind keeping something similar =].

Yeah the plan was gonna be, 2 stroke 125 then 400 but I can't be assed anymore with a 400 because of their age.
Nah not a sports 600, insurance will be to high so I might go for a SV650S.

Sorry don't mean to sound abrupt but that statement makes no sense whatsoever. Confused Take any largeish bike & restrict it to 33bhp

Bandit 600 got to be over 200kgs with 33bhp = what 85-90mph?

Aprilia RS or any sports 125 2poke derestrict it = 33bhp & only 125kgs = 100mph + with better handling & accelration, plus a lot easier to work on. Thumbs Up
