Was coming from Tesco in the car, when a got the blue flashing lights behind.

He come to the car and said, "How fast were you going there sir?"
I said 30 and he said, "not when you pulled out from that roundabout, you broke hard when you saw me! I reckon you were doing past 60 due to how hard you had to brake"

I did brake hard cos I was originally doing 40. But no were near 60!

Once I got in the patrol car he said "Been drinking son? Just I can smell alcohol". From then on I thought, shit he's got it in for me here. So I told I hadn't and you can do a breath test if you would like, because I am telling the truth. He replied "must be in the air then". CUNT!

Basically it ended after all the basic checks and him thinking I was doing past 60; but he only give me a section 59. So I couldn't of hoped for any better really. He said next time I get pulled he'll take the car off me. Typical eh Rolling Eyes

Thing is, I could have just shot down a side street and parked up and he wouldn't have noticed. Just it took him ages to turn round and catch up with me. Rolling Eyes

Bollocks all he could have done. He can't do you for thinking you're breaking the speed limit. He would have had to follow you, get you in a speed trap etc.

When I got in the car I made it clear that I really wasn't a yob or boy racer etc; hoping he would just give me a verbal warning.

I orginally thought he was gonna pull me because of my headlights (I think they might be out of alignment cos people keep flashing me) but its just been in for its MOT so can't be.

I'm gutted Sad

You should have challenged him instead of taking it like a bitch.

You should have asked him at what point did he get speed calibrators lasered into his eyes such that he was able to judge the exact speed you were going.

It might have seemed the easier, quicker option to just accept it, but thats on your record now and if some other jumped up cock sucker in a uniform decides he wants to ruin someones day for the hell of it then you may well get the car seized off you.

You should have stood your ground, taken a trip down the station if necessary, because although it's wasting both your time you would probably have walked away scot free.

So the officer saw you braking hard from a speed greater than you should have been doing. stopped you, made sure you weren't a drunken idiot then just gave you a little warning to focus your mind on driving with a little more care.
Seems ok to me. the only issue i have, that we didn't get when we were being dicks, is that he has to give you a sct 59. but you can thank all those mouthy I know my rights you scum brigade for that.

On the back it says a section 59 is for Careless and inconsiderate driving or being a nuisance to the public on road or off-road.

The thing about section 59 is, its based on the police officer's opinion, there is no exact measure involved.

This makes it incredibly draconian and open to abuse. I know of one person who's had a car impounded. The thing is, there seems to be no redress at all, you basically get one on the attending police officers say so and thats you.

Just another example of very poor law making. But hey! it got through because a shower of middle class toss pots were being 'bothered' by young nuisance drivers... Apparently... A great example of a knee jerk law that seems to be in place only to discriminate against young folk.

Pablo's just been telling me some of the stuff he heard from his MIL...pigs putting a certain internal police newspaper on top of the dashboard of their private car, so they can park wherever the fuck they like without fear of a ticket.

Escorting a person in their private car, pig car in front to clear the way so the driver of the private car (a new one) could "see what it can do".

Of course mechanics never lie when working on peoples vehicles, chefs never lie when they say their food is always fresh, white collar workers never lie to their customers, oh and of course IT tech's never lie to get a bit more money.

People lie in their jobs get over it, if you aren't doing anything stupid then you won't get picked from the bunch.

What if cal HAD been drinking and ran over one of your family members? Then all of you would say "Stupid de-generate scum, why don't they catch real criminals like drink drivers rather than issue speed tickets". Well believe it or not a good percentage of random stops end up with people being arrested for DUI's so think before you answer.

People that are against a whole organization because of a few experiences with only a few of the people that work for it are very naive.
