Silly question but I wanted to know.. does carbonated spring water have sugar or anything in it? Is it simply just water but fizzy? i.e. not loads of sugar and crap to rot your teeth etc and still as hydrating as normal water?

Weird question I know but I've started drinking it a bit now and wanted to know if it's as good as normal mineral water.

Thanks Thumbs Up

It is what is says. Carbonated spring water - no additives or preservatives, except CO2 & the odd trace element, depending on its source.

Just watch you don't pick up the flavoured ones - they can have all kinds of additives in!

Yeah good point!

I have a plain one, does me.. I'm just trying to stop drinking so much fizzy coca cola and dr pepper and crap at work, drink far far too much of the crap. I do like spring water and it's half the price of a bottle of coke so am trying to drink this from now and less coca cola etc.

I'm sure I remember there being a "Tonight with Trev" or similar, recently about spring/bottled water. They actually said that there are more contaminants in bottled water than UK tap water.

However I may just be an innocent pawn in the Seven Trent plan for global domination.

You'd probably be best with still water, I'm sure there is a bit of an investgation into a link between carbonated drinks and throat cancer. Was on the news last week.

Is it just me or does carbonated fizzy water make you feel sick? It's like drinking something that's fizzed up with an asprin in it. Sick Still water is amazing though. It's the only thing I have drank in the last 2 years. Thumbs Up

While bottled water is often filtered to remove the horrible bits it is still not as pure as tap water. There were/are several makes of bottled water which would have the water board in trouble if they supplied it though the mains. They can have a high metal content which is not always good for you (but still better than coke Smile )

Or you could buy dasaini and have tap water at bottled water prices Confused

bye

I can't stand fizzy water, it tastes rank imo. As for still water, what's the point? The tap water should be just as good, depending on where you live. Surely everyone remembers Delboy and his imitator, Dasani? I was verily amused when that got withdrawn. Laughing

I'm with you on that one! Sick
I do drink bottled water but I'm quite happy drinking water out of the tap where I live in Scotland. Apparently the tap water round here is pretty good - tastes good too! (Can't say the same for water out of the tap in places I've visited in England Thumbs Down )

Birth causes death. Best to avoid being born if you can.
