I was hoping for quite a bit more than I got when I went to see that film. Idea - not bad. Production design - excellent. Hugh Jackman - what more could a girl want.

But I'd forgotten it also had director - feeble. cgi effects - way too many and way too awful.

...but the trailer makes it look so good!! Despite the poor reviews I think I will still get round to seeing it or wait til it's out on dvd.

Went to see it Friday on the understanding that it had been slated by the critics, but looked like a bit of mindless fun on the trailer - and that was exactly what we got - if you went to see it expecting any more than that then you would be disappointed!
But it had Hugh "yummy" Jackman for me and Kate Beckinsdale for my significant irritation - and she was wearing great boots (I can never pass up the opportunity to look at shoes!!) Lots of violence and vampires, werewolves and other generalized horror characters in the tradition of black and white B movies!! What a great fun film!
