I'd proffer the opinion that a car is an ideal place to listen to music that you wouldn't usually listen to.

With the aforementioned in mind I suggest that you cast aside your aversions to Country, attempt to broaden your horizons and listen to Johnny Cash - 'Live at San Quentin' (Prison).

If that's too much steel guitar and harmonica to take go for Esther Phillips - 'The Country Side of Esther Phillips'

A bit of Reggae with an up to date twist? The Nextmen - 'Blunted in the Backroom'.

Hip Hop? Clipse - 'Hell Hath No Fury'

To make the journey go smoother than a hot butter covered velvet cushion? Frank Sinatra - 'Songs for Swinging Lovers'

Best Luther album (had to get it in obviously )? Luther Vandross - 'The Night I Fell in Love'

Soulful Soundtrack? Bobby Womack - 'Across 110th Street'

Oh and if you're gonna do a Massive Attack album go for 'Blue Lines' (sorry Ben ) or for a similar sound Portishead - 'Dummy'
