No need to replace the pipe though, just the can (above). You may also want to look at one of the Molkt Performance carbs and the Molkt Carb Tuning Package (Just an air filter and some jets).

Be warned though, your bike might run a bit too lean or rich if you change it all, so you may need to change the jets, not sure if you're comfortable with that stuff. Done this on mine so let me know if you need any more help Thumbs Up

So what would you recommend i do first?

Obviously change over the muffler, but would you recommend replacing the air filter and jets? ... If so which most preferably?

Cheers Smile

Well after changing the exhaust you'll notice an awesome change in the acceleration. I got the new carb at pretty much the same time so its hard to say, but if you just change the exhaust you might find it needs the jets changing.

I'd change the exhaust first and see how it runs. Because the old exhaust is so restrictive, the engine has loads more room to breathe and so it can run a bit funny, spluttering a lot at high revs.

If it does you'll have to change the jets. I'm no mechanic at all so you'd have to speak to someone about which size to go for. If it does run bad though try speaking to the guys on that site, email them and they can help.

Exhaust is a must though, sounds way better. You can then change the jets if you need to, and maybe upgrade the carb and air filter afterwards if you want to, only thing is it means more messing about with the jets everytime you change something, which is only a 5 minute job after you've done it once but a bit of a hastle finding the right one Thumbs Up

Brilliant, your advice is much appreciated.

I'm definitely going to get the exhaust and see how that goes, no doubt if it needs the jets changing my dad will realise that and we'll get it done.

Just didnt want to change these things incase people have had things go wrong when they've done these.

No doubt if i have any questions you'll hear from me again.

Cheers Very Happy

No worries man.

Assuming you've got the bike in your picture, I've got the same as yours.

Bike sounds much nicer since putting that on. I found the exhaust I sent you to be the most readily available for the UK. Reading Superbikes also do one if you ring them up, as well as a "tune up kit" for silly money but all it is is a carb, air filter and pipe.

Heres a site I used to find out about most of it:

https://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=48&order=desc

Our bike is the QM125GY, they come with loads of different names so you'll see it referred to that mostly. There is also the 200 version which most of the people on that site will be talking about.

Let me know if you need any more info, check that modifications part of that forum that I just linked you to though, there's two pages and about 5/6 threads on air filters, carbs, and exhausts that might be of use to you Thumbs Up

Not sure where you're living but the place I bought mine does replacement parts. Not sure of the price but give em a ring. Google Stuart Rafferty motorcycles in York Thumbs Up
