Second time I've ever shot it. Worked much better than the last time I did.

I think speedway's pretty underrated in the UK, it's an awesome night out and you can get really close to the bikes. These are from Rye House.

Still a dangerous sport, third crash of the evening. I believe there was a wrist injury that put one of the riders out for the rest of the night, all others walked away.

Stealing another photographer's flash. Laughing. Never managed to do it before, but it works really well IMO, lots of atomosphere.

It's with the 450D funnily enough.

The lens I have that fit the 1D weren't long enough. Not even sure if I really need the 1D to be honest, even though it is awesome. I find myself picking up the 450D most of the time, and still getting great results.

The main thing that riles me about the 450 is the noise and the limited ISO.

Cool Love the shots!

Speedway is incredibly underrated in the UK and for no real reason! Its a fantastic sport, just the politics can let it down a bit. However, for a night out its brilliant!

Nice shots. Speedway is a fantastic evening out, so much so I have bought an ex sheffield race bike, for the silly price of £45, I'll get some pics up when I can

Had much more light this time, and I was shooting in RAW.

I didn't post the 1D Mark II on here, mainly because it's a bike forum and I hate bragging.

To be fair I haven't really been using it as much as I thought I would, so I'm not sure whether to keep it or not.

I don't mind. I got it for £900 from a camera shop second hand with my work bonus. I've been shotting a few bits and pieces with it, but not half as much as I thought I would.
