26000 miles is not a high mileage unless its a 2 stroke 50cc that hasnt had a rebuild.

Check things like C&S, brake pads, suspension and wheel bearings. Also check the brake discs.

26k shouldn't see any engine problems, but it WILL affect your resale .... if you get it cheap enough you can take that hit and not lose out much, then this isn't a problem thought!! Smile

I bought an old 1999 CG125 with 25000 miles on it xD

but you probs want to have a look and see what kind of condition its generally in.

As Blue_SV650S said, you will want to check all these before you buy it, just to be sure.

but if you are planning on keeping it, the resale value shouldnt be that much of a worry.

cheers

Thats a shame that.

I see bikes of all types being thrashed to bits in the fields here. Feel quite sorry for whoever's bikes they were.

CGs can do loads of miles and never give up on you though, thats why they are so reliable.

It's the main reason i bought one Razz

If you're a nancy boy, that's high mileage. If you're normal, then that's nothing.

Be sure to take it for a test ride, ensure it doesn't slip out of any gears (really shouldn't), and just look for general signs of harsh riding.

I recently saw an R6 at MTC in Reading for £3,000. I wouldn't have paid even £1,000! Cracks in the fairing, right-side of the front tire was almost bald (left side was fine). Bar ends scratched, chain slack, engine casing scratched. What I'm trying to say is look at it very closely, don't lust over it and find all the tiny issues later on.
