RE-restricting Yamaha aerox

Hi, I just bought a 2003 Yamaha Aerox for my son who's coming up 16, and it's been de-restricted, so I'm trying to find out what needs to be done to let him ride legally on it.
The info I have so far is that the restrictor is a) a washer between 2 pulleys in the gearing somewhere; and b) in the exhaust.
Can anyone recommend the best and cheapest thing for me to do to get the bike restricted again?

oh right well there is a restrictor in the variator and im sure you can buy a new washer that re-restricts it or failing that you will have to buy a new variator ?
for the exhaust you have to weld a cone piece in to the exhaust if you have still got it you weld it back into place also failing that new exhaust
to be honest i would just keep it de-restricted as the performance is much better and he will probably end up de-restricting it again

I personally think re-restricting is more dangerous than de-restricting. also L plates on the front of bikes should be banned. also there's too much hatred in the world. peace

It will be safer to keep it as it is, better for bigger roads etc..

Going 30 mph is just awful in so many ways.
You will hold everyone up and make them overtake in dangerous places, (like up hills where it will struggle ) . .most of the time leading to a blind dip.
Your lad will get bored and loose consantration.
And 30 man !, you don't to be doing 30.
So many things.

A first time rider gets put under loads of pressure on the roads. It no good . .
