I stalled after about 1.5metres on entering a roundabout on a 125 once, didn't feel too clever, but practice makes perfect

If it makes you feel any better, I have (couple times) gone to pull away and gone into 1st only to have it cut out because the sidestand was still down, Also once stopped and thought I was in neutral thus letting go of the clutch, only to stall.

Both times with an audience Laughing

Thank yer stars its not a kickstart like mine, where you have to lift the footpeg before attempting a kick. Stalling happens to everybody now and again and if it won't start then paddle it to the side(shoulder checks 1st)
As for knowing which gear you're in...doesn't really matter as long as it suits your speed i.e not labouring or redlining Wink

Stalling a bike gets the same reaction as a barman dropping a glass...Human nature Laughing
